He Is

the light in my darkness

my portion

the hope the rises with each sun and the shining of each moon

the Creator of the heavens I gaze at

the shield I hide behind

the One I cling to

the horn of my salvation

the forgiver of my sins

the provider I turn to

the healer I seek

the Most High God

I Am

mercy that I run to

love that I lean back into

faithfulness that is sure and true

redeemer of the lost, broken, sinful

my breath and heart beat

my foundation that I can stand on

my sureness of foot

I will tell of Him that I am searching for because He is faithful and has answered my call to Him.
